BeLoved’s Community Power project is a community-based initiative that focuses on creating positive change and addressing social challenges faced by directly impacted communities. The project provides a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to come together, share their experiences, and work towards meaningful solutions. Through advocacy work, programs that promote self-expression, and community-building efforts, BeLoved is supporting individuals and families in our community to tap into their power and collectively work to create a WNC where everyone thrives.

As a community-based organization, BeLoved connects with and invites people most impacted by issues to be a part of the change through using their voices, ideas, gifts, and leadership collectively. Our project began as a space where people from all walks of life could gather and support each other. We wanted to create a platform for individuals to share their experiences and work towards meaningful change. Through our project, we’ve been able to make a real impact on housing, racial equity, healthcare, public safety, food equity, and education policy. We’ve also influenced city budgets and increased transparency in government.
