Our project began as a space where people from all walks of life could gather and support each other. We wanted to create a platform for individuals to share their experiences and work towards meaningful change. Through our project, we’ve been able to make a real impact on housing, racial equity, healthcare, policing, food equity, and education policy. We’ve also influenced city budgets and increased transparency in local government. We have advocated on local, state, and national levels and participated in national campaigns.
Our commitment to community-building extends beyond advocacy work. Community power also encourages community members to use our collective imaginations to create innovative solutions that make a significant difference in our lives, our neighborhoods, and our communities. Many of our innovative solutions are now inspiring people who care in communities across the country.
